What we collect
When you shop with us we collect the information needed to fulfil your order: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery addresses (including your recipient's name and address for gifts), and your order history. Payment card details are processed securely by our payment providers and are never stored by us.

- To send marketing emails — only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe with one click at any time
- To understand how our store is used, via analytics, so we can improve it
Gift recipients
If you send a gift, we use the recipient's details solely to deliver that gift. We never add gift recipients to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Our store runs on Shopify, which processes data on our behalf. We share delivery details with shipping carriers, and order data with payment providers to process transactions. We never sell personal information.
Security & retention
Our store uses SSL encryption throughout, and checkout is PCI-DSS compliant via Shopify. We keep order records as required by Australian tax law.
Access, correction & complaints
You can request access to or correction of your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing mermaid@pearlmarket.com.au. If you're not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
